the people there must really have been cat lovers if they didn't hold grudges against the cats for what they did....
or they just (rightfully) blamed bastemon for everything

Kranesh • 1 year ago

I mean... Japan and many other asian countries are huge cat lovers, so it makes sense for people to not be mad at them.

Shadow Moon • 1 year ago

the one guy said it was a nightmare, so odds are they all chalked it up to something that didn't actually happen or a group hallucination.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

Whenever someone brings up "group hallucinations" in fiction i just think "I am pretty sure mass / group hallucinations are even LESS believable than what actually happened"
considering hallucinations, i suppose, are more dependant on your own brain, so EVERYONE should have hallucinated something different.
if ANYTHING, I buy more what other comment said of "japanese people are such cat lovers, they will just forgive it"

Melfina Rose • 1 year ago

I think it was more so, the experience was a nightmare because they were all wide awake and very much aware of what was going on but it was fine now, everything was back to normal; no more trippy mutant, demon cats, just their normal house pet cat.

lady vivi ★ • 1 year ago

The latest horror trope, cats forcing humans to act like cats.

Kranesh • 1 year ago

I'm really happy that today was indeed the Bastemon episode and she was amazing through and through, her hips didn't lied at all! And I was not expecting that this fight was going to be that intense, but good thinking on Tethismon to become poisonous for Bastemon, that was a real big brain move!

Also, once again we got a mention of the Gulus plot considering Bastemon was able to recognize Gammamon a little bit... but seriously, Ghost Game... can we please get a real plot now? All of this drip feeding is going nowhere, and we're approaching the 60 episode mark... if there's a real plot for Ghost Game, then it needs to happen now or never.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Is there a confirmed number of eps this will end or halt?
If not this will keep going until the actual notice of when this will end and I agree this is dragging way too long where we've haven't seen any mega of the mc's digimons yet.

Fayt Leingod • 1 year ago

what if this is a digimon anime like bleach and one piece on number of episode

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

So far that's what's looking like it and or it will be like Gegege no Kitaro (2028) with 80 to 90 some thing eps.

wwlaos • 1 year ago

2028??? Is the Geg-ster getting an anime adaptation again in another 6 years? :P

I know you meant 2018. ;)

But that show was like 90 amazing episodes and 7 stinkers, while this one is more like 8 amazing episodes, 40 passable episodes, and 6 stinkers. I'm enjoying Ghost Game... for the most part... but I'd never put this on the same level as the 2018 Gegege no Kitaro or the 2020 Dai no Daibouken.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

My bad I meant (2018)

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

I'm not really put it on the same level, well maybe on Gegege no Kitaro (2028) just a little. Anyways I'm thinking it's gonna be that many episodes since it's already this far in to it.

Percival • 1 year ago

Yes wish that aswell

Kranesh • 1 year ago

We're still not sure how many episodes Ghost Game will have in total.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

I just hope that actual plot won't be rushed in 10 or less episodes because that would be... just stupid.
I mean, come on, get with some plot otherwise people will drop this digimon show.

Kranesh • 1 year ago

That's what I'm fearing as well, making a plot and rushing it in less than 10 episodes will be a really bad move from Toei.

wwlaos • 1 year ago

Don't worry, Toei NEVER makes bad decisions like that. ^_^

*cough*

>_>

Jlipper • 1 year ago

I’d like to think that they are trying to form a potential “army of allies” and potentially create familiarity with potential enemies for a possible final battle.

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

If you are at all interested, I've been writing Ghost Game episodes of my own lately and they are in my Google Drive. Want to check those out? The first episode I wrote starts off like the typical Ghost Game episode but ends in a nasty twist and it affects the team in a negative way. Some more so.

Forky • 1 year ago

That's called "fan fiction". I do hope you are having fun with it.

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

Ok sure fan fiction. But yes, I am, and if you are curious I can give you a link to see what I have written so far. But I do warn you the events gets rather hard to swallow.

Beat me • 1 year ago

he never gave even the slightest indication that he wanted to transfer, he just wanted to know if the military project was mandatory, and when the answer was yes he accepted it

Annecy Change • 1 year ago

I like to have that cat as a pet., lol

Rini Mulandari • 1 year ago

It's disturbing as ever without any consequences and anti climax.
In the end nothing happen... When we will get a mega.. sigh.
Idk. 20 more eps with this repetitive episodic formula is a dead end honestly. I wonder why ppl enjoy watching this show

brianuuu • 1 year ago

I used to enjoyed the show for the first 20 or so episode, now I'm here just waiting for the actual plot to advance, it'll probably take 50 more episodes to do that

2kawaii4ya • 1 year ago

Fuck em cats

T0XXX1CCC • 1 year ago

THERE'S NO LAWS AGAINST THE DIGIMON BATMAN

Melfina Rose • 1 year ago

I am pleasantly surprised that for a third week in a row, we've gone full circle with the eps. Did they get a new/additional writer?
I certainly hope this continues; episodic is one thing but at least have the start and end tie together, instead of just randomly cutting off or ignoring the point brought up at the start and feeling short by five minutes.

And congrats on making Bastemon an actual formidable opponent but disappointed we never got our infamous, literal catfight scene in this ep but at least it was a clever use of Thetismon skills. In fact all three were used quite constructively in this fight and even if extras were getting involved.

And once again, our Vincent Price stand in narrator is proving to be one of the best things of the show, he's just so darn good!

churchblue • 1 year ago

Someone mentioned if Myotismon uses GulusGammamon's power to digivolve to Mega, it would be an even worse nightmare.

ryuuri • 1 year ago

My favorite yokai the bakeneko; while "she" is a nekomata in comparison.

Oltu Kebabı • 1 year ago

55 episodes... YUP THIS IS TRULY THE WORST FUCKING DIGIMON SEASON EVER. Not only its formula fucking sucks, but there is no end-goal. And shit-taste idiots were crying about 2020 reboot. Bruh, at least 2020 reboot was a constant action-gasm with fun battle scenes with DEFEAT. This is just fight fight fight and talk no jutsu and then move on to next stupid shit with no plot development at all. Just call this GHOST GAME, don't taint the DIGIMON game anime of which has always been fun watch.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Why are you even here?
Go watch your Taichi's adventure, the enormous disaster of digimon franchise.

Ankith Nair • 1 year ago

Denial is something else

Knichtus • 1 year ago

and this is why you don't let your cat outdoors people! they are unfortunately are an invasive species and cause alot of damage and they can get hurt. Thank god digimon powers can be undone but the anatomy of the morphed cats really made me shiver. I love bastemons design though, but man, seeing all those outdoor felines gives me flashbacks xD

LKin • 1 year ago

Another digimon that will turn boys into furries! tee hee

DORM CATS! DORM CATS! DORM CATS!

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Last episode with Fujitsumon and Octmon seems a bit weak, but this episode with Bastemon was magnificent.
Bastemon in Xros wars was docile, cute and she was a heavy sleeper.

Bastemon in this episode was ruthless. Turning all those cats into bakeneko and forcing humans to act like cats, it was brilliant. Battle was so intense and well animated. Heck, she was able to possessed Lamortmon, but Kiyoshiro and Thetismon were able to finally defeat her. Maybe Bastemon will stay longer.
And, yet, another plot drip with Bastemon knowing about Gulus.
Espimon still stays the same - I thought he will drop that "fake Hiro" nonsense after last episode, but no.
This is also first time that Jellymon's business idea was really useful.

Next time - who will be? That orb in preview, at least, for me, looks like Quartzmon from Xros wars, but I am sure that I am wrong.
Wood dolls? Pinocchimon? Arbormon? Or someone new?

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

It would at least have something to do with puppets.

Phillip Brooker • 1 year ago

I think Puppetmon, but the cleanliness part makes me want to think someone else unless this Puppetmon thinks of itself as a collector that wants his toys to remain clean.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

About cleanliness, that was always part of Arbormon's talking in Frontier.
Arbormon behaves in a robotic manner, never expressing emotions and always talking about hygiene and good manners.

Phillip Brooker • 1 year ago

True.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

So, maybe it will be Arbormon or it will be some new digimon.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

i genunely wonder if they will later have someone partner up with bastemon or if they will just leave it as a one off commentary

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Espimon, Ryudamon, even Clockmon, Mummymon or Bakumon are here logner than Bastemon and they don't have partners.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

I know..... And that's so sad

I other digimon shows, they would have gotten at least an "unofficial partner" (ahuman they hang out with so much they might as well be their partner / tamer, despite not even being a digivice)

Airdramon for example, could be considered (Ruri / Ruli)'s unofficial second partner

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

They did that in Tamers with Juri, Hirokazu, Kenta and Shaochung and very late in Xros wars with Akane and Zenjirou.

We have tamers potential in characters like Kotaro, Aoi, Mika, Emma, Kayono, Riku. That would even move plot a bit.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

even if it didn't move the plot, having other characters as "secondary tamers" would give more variety to the vibe they have going of "slice of life horror" and show more humans coexisting with digimon

other potential tamers would be yuto, tamotsu, maybe one of the idolsfrom the D-topi group

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Yes, Yuuto even had very strong connection with Ajataramon but she killed herself.

Bastemon behind all these control the cats
